Meet Dr. Jesil Pazhayampallil, MD, FAAP Board-Certified Pediatrician | Newborn Specialist | Compassionate Clinician & Mother Dr. Paz is a board-certified pediatrician with over a decade of experience caring for children from birth through adolescence. Known for her calm demeanor, kindness, and clinical excellence, she is deeply committed to supporting the health and well-being of every child—and to empowering parents with clear, compassionate guidance. Before joining RBK Pediatrics, Dr. Paz worked as a pediatric hospitalist in the newborn nursery at Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip, where she helped care for hundreds of newborns and supported new families during their earliest days. She also brings a strong background in pediatric urgent care, having treated children with a wide range of medical needs throughout Queens and Long Island. As both a physician and a mother, Dr. Paz understands the concerns and challenges parents face at every stage of childhood. Her thoughtful approach and excellent communication help families feel confident and cared for—whether they’re in for a routine check-up or an unexpected illness. Dr. Paz earned her medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and completed her pediatric residency at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore in the Bronx. In addition to her work in New York, she has practiced in California and contributed to global health efforts in Uganda and Ecuador, teaching neonatal resuscitation and advancing community health. She also reviews content for the popular parenting website Whattoexpect.com, helping ensure new parents have access to accurate, reliable medical information.
